Injustice 2 Director Asks Fans to Choose Which Red Hood Should Be Added

Joker or Jason Todd?

Upcoming fighting game Injustice 2 may be getting the character Red Hood as part of its roster, according to a post from the game’s director. Ed Boon posted a poll on Twitter asking users “Which Red Hood do you think should be in Injustice 2?” with the two options: Joker and Jason Todd.

While Joker was a playable character in 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, Jason Todd was not. At the time of writing, Todd holds the lead in Boon’s poll by a wide margin. In DC’s comic books, the character was first known by the alias Red Hood before an accident transformed him into the Joker. In later comics, Jason Todd (formerly Robin) became Red Hood.

Injustice 2 is a sequel to Gods Among Us and is scheduled for release in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Boon said that a PC port of the game is “likely.” Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle are the latest characters to be officially confirmed, with footage shown during Comic-Con last month. They join the confirmed list of characters which include Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Aquaman, Atrocitus, Supergirl, and Gorilla Grodd.

In addition, an Injustice 2 comic book series has been confirmed. The series will be released weekly in the lead up to the launch of Injustice 2, and serve as a prequel to the game. Speaking about the series, writer Tom Taylor has promised, "Tears, Triumph, Tragic Twists"
