Infogrames' In-house Laugh Track

Space Circus is due in late '98 - but it helps to be French if you want to laugh.

Comments

Space Circus, a PC and N64 game being developed in-house by Infogrames, tells the story of two rival space circuses and their quest for new acts in a fully explorable 3D world.

You play Starshot, the star juggler of the circus whose weapon/tool is being able to literally shoot stars. And you can independently control the star from the moment it has been fired until it goes out.

Infogrames is referring to this as an "exploration" game, a new genre according to the company, and its cartoonish characters and lack of serious gore should draw a younger audience, while the hope is that the adventure and the humor - remember that this was created by the French, who still think Jerry Lewis is hilarious - will attract older gamers.

Watch for it during the third quarter of 1998.
