The game, which was originally known as Indy Racing League, is the official video game of the American open-wheel championship and as such will feature 14 official tracks, 27 cars, and even a special Indy 500 mode.

The official IndyCar Series Web site launched today features information on the sport, profiles of the cars and circuits in the game, numerous screenshots and movies to download, and its own forum. There's also an opportunity for visitors to register to receive news on the upcoming PC demo of the game.
