Comments

Monday we looked at two Namco Guncon-compatible shooting games, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s Elemental Gearbolt and Electrocoin's Guntu Western Fron June, 1944. Today we look at Namco's Klonoa - Door to Phantomile for the Sony PlayStation.

Klonoa is a "3D on rails" platform game a la Crystal Dynamics' Pandemonium series that takes place in the world of dreams (each level is considered a "vision"). The title character is a cat with an oversized collar and a set of "ear wings" that allow limited flight. Instead of hopping on enemies, Klonoa uses a magical item that either grabs enemies to throw at others or allows him to leapfrog and cast himself higher into the air.

Namco plans on bringing Klonoa to the US early next year.
