Indie developers and budding creators, take heed. The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) will be holding this year’s Global Game Jam at the Republic Polytechnic in Singapore. The event will be held January 28-30.

The event is aiming to stir up interest in and discussions about game design, much like a smaller-scale GDC for students from polytechnics and universities, as well as local professionals. Each game jam session has participants create games from scratch while also learning new skills in the field over the course of two days.

Among the countries involved in this congregation are Turkey, Brazil, the USA, Scotland, the Philippines, England, France, and Thailand. Students from Republic Polytechnic’s Diploma in Game Design will be representing the majority of Singapore in this event.
