Yesterday we 2895765received screenshots labeled only with the title "Ice Nine." We've now tracked the screenshots back to their source: Bam Entertainment. As it turns out, at E3 last May Bam quietly announced PlayStation 2 and GBA games loosely inspired by the 2003 movie The Recruit, starring Al Pacino and Colin Farrell. The Recruit for the GBA was originally planned to come out this fall, but the game's release has been moved to next summer to coincide with the schedule for the PS2 game.

Bam has released the first details on the Ice Nine PlayStation 2 game. The PS2 game is only partly inspired by the movie, and both the PS2 and GBA games are now called Ice Nine. The screenshots suggest a covert action focus for the game, and the story revolves around the effort to stop the Ice Nine computer virus.

We'll have more on the game in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out this new batch of screenshots.
