"I did a 'Christian Bale.'"

Actor Hugh Grant plays the villain the new Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie due out this month, and he was something of a bad guy on the film's set, too. The 62-year-old actor said he had a Christian Bale-like temper tantrum on the set of the film when he got into it with a woman who he believed to be a studio executive. This person, who was in Grant's eyeline, was actually a chaperone of a child actor.

Speaking to Total Film (via Yahoo Entertainment), Grant said the mistake happened on the first day of filming. "I lost my temper with a woman in my eyeline on day one. I assumed she was some executive from the studio who should have known better," he said. "Then it turns out that she's an extremely nice local woman who was the chaperone of the young girl. Terrible. A lot of grovelling... "

Grant went on to say, "I did a 'Christian Bale,'" referring to the Batman actor's infamous on-set freak out during the filming of Terminator: Salvation. Bale apologized for this.

Grant is known to be difficult. In 2012, The Daily Show's Jon Stewart said Grant was "the worst guest" he ever had and said he was being a "big pain in the ass." Grant later admitted to having a "tantrum," something he said happens about once per year.

Honor Among Thieves releases on March 31. It stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Sophia Lillis, Rege-Jean Page, and Justice Smith.
