Hudson suits up for Deca Sports
Minigame compilation that includes beach volleyball, badminton, and figure skating expected to cross finish line in summer 2008 for the Nintendo Wii.
As a free game packed in with the Nintendo Wii in most regions, Wii Sports has become for many the gold standard for sports-themed minigame compilations on Nintendo's hit console. However, in the spirit of one-upmanship, Hudson Entertainment will be doubling Wii Sports' five-game offering with Deca Sports, due out exclusively for the Wii in summer 2008.
Hudson Entertainment's upcoming decathlon will offer a diverse range of family-friendly events. The sports on offer include beach volleyball, snowboard cross, badminton, basketball, curling, figure skating, archery, supercross, soccer, and kart racing.
Unsurprisingly, each of the minigames in Deca Sports will seek to capitalize on the Wii's motion-sensing capabilities. The games will also feature both single- and multiplayer modes, as well as practice modes.
