On last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, guest Nicole Kidman told the story of how Fallon's love of video games spoiled the chances of the two celebrities dating.

Kidman recalls visiting Fallon's apartment in New York City years ago for a casual hangout. But when she got there, Fallon--apparently wearing sweatpants and unaware that it was a date--was too shy to talk, and even turned on a video game. .

"You wouldn't talk," Kidman recalled when speaking to Fallon last night. "You didn't say anything. And then you put a video game on, and I'm like, 'This is so bad!' It was bad. I swear, and you didn't talk at all. And so after about an hour and a half, I thought, 'He has no interest. This is so embarrassing.'"

For his part, Fallon said, "I had no clue at all" that Kidman--who was single at the time--was interested in him. Kidman is now married to country singer Keith Urban, while Fallon is also married.

Fallon of course is a big fan of video games, hosting a Video Game Week every summer on his late night show.
