The Xbox One is not the only new console that supports voice commands. Sony has published a new video detailing how voice commands work on the PlayStation 4. First, players can activate voice commands on PS4 either by speaking directly to the PlayStation Camera or via the mono headset included with every system.

Saying "PlayStation" will activate a menu of voice control options. From here, players can say the name of a game, like "Killzone: Shadow Fall" or "Battlefield 4" and then "Start" to launch the title.

Players are able to switch users by saying "Log in," while saying "Home screen" will take you back to the menu.

At any point during gameplay, users can say "Take screenshot" to take a screenshot, which users can then share with their friends. Lastly, users can say "Power" to log out and turn off the PS4.

Sony cautioned that the PS4 may not recognize your voice if there is too much ambient noise in the background. What's more, if you don't give the PS4 a voice command within 10 seconds, the voice recognition option will go away.

Sony demonstrated PS4 voice commands in English. Other supported languages include Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Japanese. Sony will add support for more languages in the future with system software updates.

Microsoft's Xbox One also supports voice (and gesture) commands through Kinect.
