Netflix's political drama House of Cards returns for its long-awaited fifth season on May 30, the streaming network announced today.

The date was confirmed in an foreboding video in which children recite the Pledge of Allegiance as an upside-down American flag waves over a dark scene in front of the Capitol. On Twitter, Netflix wrote in the video's caption, "We make the terror." That's a reference to a line that Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) delivered in the Season 4 finale. Check out the new teaser video below.

House of Cards, which debuted in 2013 and also stars Robin Wright, represented Netflix's first stab at original programming. Netflix has since invested heavily in the area of original shows with programs like Orange Is the New Black, Bloodline, Stranger Things, and Narcos, among others.

Video games have shown up so far in every season of House of Cards, so we can't wait to see what Season 5 delivers in this department.

Beau Willimon, the creator, executive producer, and showrunner for House of Cards, left the show after its fourth season.
