At E3 2003, THQ is unveiling Hot Wheels Highway 35 World Race, the latest in a long line of pick-up-and-play racing games featuring the Hot Wheels line of toy cars. This particular game will include 15 different cars from Hot Wheels' 35th anniversary collection, some seriously loopy futuristic and fantasy racecourses, and even an original theme song performed by the hit band Smash Mouth.

This next Hot Wheels game will feature both single-player and multiplayer action, and will have you racing on tracks that take you through places like active volcanoes, ice-covered mountains, gravity-defying loops, and more. Courses will have shortcuts for those daring enough and perceptive enough to find them, and gameplay will combine "racing and platform-type elements with an insane stunt system." Given all that, THQ claims that this will be the fastest paced of the Hot Wheels games, and will offer the "most intense stunt racing ever imagined."

Hot Wheels Highway 35 World Race is scheduled for release on all major platforms in the fall of this year.
