Hitman movie female lead revealed

Betrayal's Hannah Ware will star alongside Rupert Friend and Zachary Quinto in Agent 47.

by

Betrayal and Shame actress Hannah Ware will play the female lead in Fox's upcoming Hitman movie Agent 47, Hollywood news site Variety reports. Plot details are being kept under wraps, so we don't know which character Ware will portray or what role she'll have in the movie.

Ware will star in Agent 47 alongside Homeland's Rupert Friend (Agent 47 himself) and Star Trek's Zachary Quinto, who will play an unspecified role. Friend replaced former lead Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in November.

Filming on Agent 47 is expected to begin in March. Commercials director Aleksander Bach is directing the movie on a script from A Good Day to Die Hard writer Skip Woods and Michael Finch.

There are multiple new Hitman games in development, including a new AAA project from series creator IO Interactive, as well as mobile games from Square Enix Montreal.

How about using that money to make a hitman game instead?

"on a script from A Good Day to Die Hard writer Skip Woods and Michael Finch." OH GOD WHY

The only "relationship" agent 47 ever had was with Diana, and that was more of a long distance thing and revolved more or less about money. And how did that turn out in the end? Exactly.

There's no need for a love interest in a Hitman movie, except if its for the target, maybe. I hope these people know who 47 really is and how he became what he is, if not, the movie's not gonna be very good.

Jason Statham (to me) would have been the perfect actor to play Agent 47.

well at least Uwe Boll isn't directing. small mercies eh?

now there is a recipe for success if ever i heard one.

Paul Walker's death was sad, but he would not have been the right actor for the role.

The movie better get into the whole "47" thing and clones. Then it could be something worth watching...

So Paul Walker was gonna play 47? That would have been terrible.

Don't remember her in Shame and I've probably seen in 5 times. Surprising because she is a cutie-patootie.

Well, they should technically be bringing Diana into Hitman if they want to make it more true to the games. The 1st movie was terrible, I don't have high hopes that the 2nd will be any better.

However, I will say that I met the cinematographer that's going to be doing the photography for this movie. His work is AWESOME, so the camera angles will look amazing.

The last Hitman movie also had a pretty woman and we know what people think of that one (I liked it, but I'm weird).

Friend better be bald.  And not smiling.

If she is someone other than Diana Burnwood, the chick that gives Agent 47 the contracts, I'll dip my balls in boiling motor oil.

they'll have to portrait a female agent down the line.

Love interest coming up, mark my words. Because we all know what a smooth lady-killer 47 is.

Wow, and I thought they were going to pick an ugly chick. You surprise me Hollywood.

Diana?

Put some Hitman Absolution in this movie, where Agent 47 throws vases and bottles around to distract people :P

So far the actors are not giving me hope for this new movie.  I'd take another Olga Kurylenko and Timothy Olyphant Hitman movie.

I loved the game.

This should be interesting. I did like the original Hitman that came out, but the love interest they had in it seemed forced. Agent 47 I thought never had any kind of love interest. He's not Golgo 13 mind you. Duke Togo would usually bed a woman just before he killed her or while he was taking a break between assignments. Whatever job he took, he finished.

and for those who don't know who Rupert Friend is --> http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1670029/?ref_=nv_sr_2

Here's hoping she's not some romantic interest for Agent 47; don't understand why the movie industry is so keen to always have some romance when adapting books/games where the protagonist is actually single and has no interest in dating.

@DARKCHOAS  Just because Statham is british doesn't make him a good fit. There are plenty of American actors who would be a better fit.

@DARKCHOAS How about something crazy: the actual actor that played 47? Looks like him, and even sounds like him somehow.

@DARKCHOAS Statham is the worst actor i have ever seen in my entire life. He doesn't know how to act, talk, fight, smile or even walk. I still don't know how on earth he has become famous!

@DARKCHOAS  too muscular, too short (5 ft 8 or so). also way too cockney! they need to be tall and lean.

@rarson I agree Paul Walker would have been WAYYY too much of a pretty boy to play a role of The Hitman.It would be like looking at a runway model TRYING to be an assassin.

RobDev

@rarson  i agree. to pretty. when i heard quinto was involved i thought he would have the right look. turns out he's not 47. missed opportunity.

@GOGOGOGURT Rupert Friend would probably look okay being bald, but I can't imagine how Jesse Eisenberg is gonna look when he plays Lex Luthor in the Batman/Superman movie. I've always seen Eisenberg as a curly guy.

@tomservo51  ah, i see what your doing! But in all seriousness she's a bit meh for me. They're a lot better looking B grade actors out there they could have gotten.

@Mimicry I still remember that first game where a hooker kissed 47 and he looked like he threw a little in his mouth. 47 is not a normal man, he's a killing machine. A lot like Kurt Russell in Soldier. You can try to humanize him, but only a little and then at the end of the day still think maybe you didn't at all. I guess that's what I liked about Absolution. He limited himself to simply professional respect for Diana, and the jailbait schoolgirl he simply protected, didn't treat her like an adopted daughter (which would be the typical Hollywood spin). He just did his mission and went back to picking tomatoes.

@Mimicry The last one I could remember was Dredd. No love story was among that many things that were shockingly good about that movie.

@Mimicry All the ladies want agent 47 because he's mysterious and has no genitals.

@Mimicry

A killer doesn't have empathy for others, that's why he's a killer. Can't have a love interest for the same reason.

I'm very tempted to talk about Spock and his "love interest" in the last ST but I will refrain. As for his lover though... unless she has a strong tendency toward loving door knobs it doesn't make any sense.

@Mimicry  Agree and like silent hill revelation the made Heather have love interest Vincent which is wrong because in silent hill 3 game Vincent was stalking Heather Mason

@RobDev @DARKCHOAS  while i do agree with you on Statham being too muscular for the role, I really think it could work out just fine. Did you see "The Mechanic"? Statham pulled off a good hitman role there. I too think he would be a pretty good actor for interpreting agent 47.

DARKCHOAS

@RobDev @DARKCHOAS  I know what you mean, but I think they need someone that can make a statement without saying a word.

@10171981

You may be underestimating him just a tad. See the moving "Running Scared," Walker was absolutely brilliant in that movie. But his style just doesn't suit 47.

@RobDev

I don't think Quinto would make a good 47, either.

@assertiveuser @Snepstok

Skip Woods and Michael Finch of "A Good Day to Die Hard" fame are writing the scripts, except anything but, more importantly, expect something boring and out of line.

@Sudieken @Mimicry  now that was a damn fine movie. dredd with a love interest. It would almost be interesting.

il_loco2k

@RobDev @il_loco2k @DARKCHOAS  I agree. Aaand you hit it on what i think about the matter: "I didn´t buy the last hitman actor", "I'm struggling to think of someone current". I just can´t picture an actor who is physically like 47 (and has that expression-less face). That's why, if it's getting done, I'd rather have someone who can act the part.

RobDev
RobDev

@il_loco2k @RobDev @DARKCHOAS  i did see the mechanic and i do believe he is good at that type of role. My issue is that agent 47 has a certain look. Being a video game character, a very visual medium, his look is important. that's why i didn't buy the last hitman actor either. I think someone taller, older and leaner. someone like scott glen when he was in his 40's would be perfect. i'm struggling to think of someone current. Maybe Karl urban?
