Hip Games wants your Z-Face

"Who Wants to Be a Zombie" contest gives gamers the chance to have their likenesses in the upcoming City of the Dead game.

There are a few ways to get one's likeness into a game. You can begin training now to become a professional athlete for a sports game; you can attend Juilliard so you can climb the Hollywood ranks to get into the next game based on a blockbuster; or you can schmooze with game developers and hope they need some extras.

Hip Games today announced one more option: You can enter the "Who Wants to Be a Zombie" contest. The publisher is giving gamers the opportunity to have their faces featured in the upcoming game, George A. Romero's City of the Dead. Winners will have their mug zombified and featured as a member of the legion of undead.

Three lucky winners will be notified on GameSpot's On the Spot live webcast during the week of June 27. Winners will also receive a credit in the game's manual, as well as a copy of the game.

To enter, simply snap a few digital photos with an "angry face," and submit them at GameSpot's contest page. The contest opens today and concludes June 22. Winners will be chosen randomly.

George A. Romero's City of the Dead comes from the mind of George A. Romero, the director of zombie classics such as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and the upcoming Land of the Dead. The first-person shooter follows many of the storylines of Romero's films, which namely involve killing as many zombies as you can.

The game, which will now be released in the first quarter of 2006, will be available for the Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 2. For more information, read GameSpot's hands-on impressions from E3.
