Blizzard ANZ has announced the Season 1 final for its Heroes of the Storm tournament, taking place on February 28. Teams Override, Negative Synergy, Fresh and Micro Gods will be competing in the finals, which kicks off at 11am and will be live-streamed via Twitch. The matches will be shout-cast by local talent Micheal "Disconcur" Roberts, Elison "Infurneaux" Furneaux-Bate and Maru "Maru" Mallee.

The finals form part of Blizzard's 2016 plans for its Heroes of the Storm Global Circuit, which totals nearly four million dollars in combined prize pool money. Season circuits will take place across spring, summer, and fall, culminating with a final Global Championship Circuit.

Earlier this year ESPN revealed plans to broadcast a Heroes of the Storm competition once again, despite the harsh reactions prompted from some viewers when it introduced a Heroes of the Storm tournament broadcast last year. The grand finals of the broadcast will take place on April 10.
