The latest game in the Warlords turn-based strategy series, Warlords IV: Heroes of Etheria, has completed the development process. Warlords IV was developed by Infinite Interactive, the company founded by Steve Fawkner, who created the Warlords franchise. The game is expected to hit store shelves this month, but no specific release date was announced.

The newest Warlords game features the return of Lord Bane, master of the undead legions and a consistent thorn in the side of Warlords gamers. Also featured will be a new combat resolution system that will speed up conflicts and let up to eight players engage in multiplayer battles over the Internet. Computer AI has been enhanced, as has graphic representations for terrain, units, and spells. Players will also be offered a new, nonlinear campaign that will take Warlords players throughout the land of Etheria to secure territory and coin.
