The next Final Fantasy "Active Time Report" broadcast, which is expected to bring news or at least more details about Final Fantasy XV, will take place in January 2016, Square Enix has announced.

Writing on Twitter, Square Enix said this presentation will include new battle footage, a fresh look at Niflheim Empire, "and more." An image accompanied with the tweet is available below.

Final Fantasy's Active Time Report has been dormant since August. The video broadcasts are often hosted by game director Hajime Tabata, who has been known to address fan feedback and more as part of the video series.

In other news about Final Fantasy XV, DualShockers reports that a new survey for Final Fantasy XV may have revealed a release window for the long-awaited RPG. Among the questions is one that asks people who are considering to purchase both Final Fantasy XV and Persona 5 that, if they were released at roughly the same time, which one would they prioritize buying.

Given that Persona 5 is already scheduled to launch in summer 2016, this would suggest that Square Enix is at least considering launching Final Fantasy XV around that time.

A firm release date for Final Fantasy XV has not been announced, but it's scheduled to launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2016, according to game director Hajime Tabata.
