Activision has announced that Hendrix and Queen will soon be available in two new downloadable track packs for Guitar Hero World Tour. Hendrix fans will now be able to jam along to "Freedom," "Angel," and the live Woodstock version of "Foxy Lady" from March 19. Wii owners will also be able to download the first Hendrix track pack--which includes "If 6 was 9," "Little Wing," and "Fire"--as singles on March 19.

Queen fans will be in for a treat with a new three-song track pack containing "We Are the Champions," "Fat Bottomed Girls," and "C-lebrity" from the 2008 album The Cosmos Rocks with Paul Rodgers. The Queen pack is expected to arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii on March 26.

Activision also announced today that two brand-new European track packs will be available for download in March. The first features "Break It Out" by Italian pop-punk band Vanilla Sky, "In the Shadows" by The Rasmus, and "C'est Comme Ca" from French duo Les Rita Mitsouko, and it will be available March 5. The second track pack--out March 19--will include "What Have You Done" from Within Temptation, "Hier Kommt Alex" from Die Toten Hosen, and "Carolina" from Spanish outfit M-Clan. Additionally, a brand-new recording of the James Bond theme will be made available.

The European track packs and James Bond theme will be available as singles on Xbox Live for 160 Microsoft points, or £1.59 ($2.25) on the PSN. The Hendrix and Queen track packs will be available for 440 Microsoft points on Live and for £3.99 ($5.60) on PSN. Wii owners will have to fork out 200 Wii points ($2) each for the Hendrix tracks.
