VR-1 announced Thursday that Hasbro Interactive has licensed the VR-1 Conductor technology and software development kit (SDK) for use in Hasbro's upcoming online games in its Em@il line.

The technology provides client/server communication and management applications, can reduce or mitigate net latency and bandwidth problems, conduct network administrative functions, and so forth. Conductor will be used as the framework for Hasbro Em@il games such as Battleship and Scrabble.

"VR-1 Conductor provides us with an excellent technology platform to deliver this content to our growing online gaming audience, offering a fast, reliable solution to help make these games a success," said Tom Dusenberry, president of Hasbro Interactive.
