Harvest Moon 3DS-bound
Natsume bringing family-friendly farming sim series to Nintendo's three-dimensional handheld, DS simultaneously.
This week, Natsume announced that its venerable farming role-playing-game hybrid franchise Harvest Moon will be putting down stakes on the 3DS and DS simultaneously. No date was given for the North American release of the game, subtitled The Tale of Two Towns, but the series' family-friendly nature all but guarantees an E-for-Everyone rating.
As the name suggests, Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns will portray a pair of villages, the Asian-style Konohana and Europe-like Bluebell. Once harmonious neighbors, the two hamlets have had a falling out over which has the superior cuisine. To determine the outcome, players must choose a side, build a farm, grow crops, and compete in a variety of festivals.
GameSpot will have more details on Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns as they become available. Natsume promised further information on the game will be revealed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June.
