Hartford and ATI join forces

Hartford's VisionTek division will bring Radeon-based graphics products to North American resellers under the Xtasy brand.

Hartford Computer Group, which recently completed the acquisition of both the VisionTek and Xtasy brands, has today announced that it's signed an agreement with ATI to produce graphics cards based on the Radeon graphics chips. The new line of Xtasy graphics products will range from entry-level graphics solutions through to high-end gaming products, and they'll all come with a limited lifetime warranty and toll-free technical support.

"In the past, VisionTek had always been closely associated with Nvidia, but when we looked at the technology available from both suppliers, both at present and what's coming over the next nine months, we felt we owed it to our loyal gamers to make the switch to ATI," commented Tony Graffia Jr, president of Hartford Computer Group. "ATI has the best-performing products at every price point and we're confident that they will retain that lead through the coming year."

"We have been competing against VisionTek for the past 18 months and we are pleased to now have the brand supporting ATI exclusively," related Rick Bergman, senior vice president of desktop marketing and general manager at ATI.

Anyone who already owns an Xtasy-branded graphics product will be pleased to know that, since acquiring the brand, Hartford is honoring all product warranties and will continue to offer toll-free technical support for them.
