Harmonix Speaks Out Against Trump Immigration Ban

"The strength and wisdom derived from diversity and inclusiveness have made us who we are."

Rock Band developer Harmonix has released a statement on Twitter, speaking out against President Trump's controversial executive order to ban immigration to the US for citizens of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia or Yemen.

Harmonix believes--as a company cofounded by an immigrant from the Middle East-- that its best work "flows from a diverse set of perspectives held by talented individuals spanning many ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and religious beliefs."

The company is standing in opposition to the immigration ban, alongside numerous others that have released similar statements. Other companies have donated money to the American Civil Liberties Union, supporting their contest of the ban.

Earlier in the week, E3 organizer the Entertainment Software Association released a statement urging the White House to "exercise caution with regard to vital immigration and foreign worker programs," alongside the Game Developers Conference and the International Game Developers Association tweeting similar messages.
