343 Industries has revealed that players will start fresh in multiplayer in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

During a Q&A on its blog, a community member asked if multiplayer progress from Halo 2, Halo 3, or Halo 4 would carry over to the upcoming collection of all four numbered Halo titles. The developer answered that everyone's unlocks and stats would be reset. This includes rank, armor, commendations, and all stats from the original games.

The developer also detailed how co-op will work across the four games. Halo: CE and Halo 2 will get 2-player online and split-screen co-op, and Halo 3 and 4 will have 2-player split-screen and 4-player online co-op.

In addition, 343 will be tracking statistics for all four games and collecting them on its website, Halo Waypoint. The original button combination exploits (such as the famous BXR combo) will still be usable in Halo 2's campaign and original multiplayer. However, the 6 remastered maps will run on a modified Xbox One engine and so glitches will not work as they did originally.

Announced last week at E3, Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. All multiplayer maps and all Halo 4 Spartan Ops missions will be included. Each game will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second.

343 also stated that it will announce more about the game at Gamescom this August.

The game is scheduled to be released on November 11 for $60. You can read more about the collection and what's included here.
