Today is September 16, which not only means that the first day of Fall is less than a week away, but also that Xbox Live subscribers can now pick up a free copy of Bungie's 2010 Xbox 360 shooter Halo: Reach.

The game is free today through the end of the month on Xbox Live as part of Microsoft's Games With Gold promotion for Xbox 360. It replaces Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine, which was free September 1-15.

Halo: Reach was the final Halo title series creator Bungie developed before moving on to its all-new franchise, Destiny, which was released just last week. For more on Halo: Reach, check out GameSpot's review and a collection of some of our favorite screenshots below.
