Halo 5's Memories of Reach free expansion, the game's sixth since launch, arrives today, May 12, 343 Industries announced during a recent livestream. The two major parts of the update are the zombie-themed Infection mode and a new Arena multiplayer map called Stasis.

The update also adds a series of new armor and helmet Reqs, including a collection based on Noble Team from Halo: Reach. Check out GameSpot's previous coverage to learn more about those and everything else included with the Memories of Reach update.

At the very end of the broadcast, 343 teased Halo 5's next free expansion, which is called Hog Wild. Skip to 2:10:00 in the video above to see a sneak peak for the update, which is expected to launch in June.

343's Tom French brought out a real live pig named Olive during the stream; see her at around 2:07:00. The pig is even represented as a prop item in Forge; Olive came to the studio to record audio, too.

As mentioned, Memories of Reach is Halo 5's sixth free expansion following the game's launch in October 2015. The others were The Battle of Shadow and Light (November), Cartographer's Gift (December), Infinity's Armor (January), Hammer Storm (February), and Ghosts of Meridian (April). This monthly streak came to an end with Ghosts of Meridian, as it came out in April.

343's free DLC plans for Halo 5 are expected to run through June, meaning Hog Wild may be the last piece of content the developer releases. It appears, then, that development will shift more to Halo 6.
