The original story is below.

All is not right in the world of Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer, it seems. The game's forums today were flooded with players reporting that their multiplayer progress (including ranks, commendations, REQs, and other items) had been completely wiped. Others reported not being able to connect to the game's servers.

Thankfully, developer 343 Industries says it is aware of the issue and is "investigating" the matter. "We apologize for the inconvenience," 343 said.

The Halo 5 multiplayer status page note that services are "impacted" right now as it pertains to matchmaking, accessing REQ packs, and service record/ranks/commendation.

We'll have more details on this situation as they become available.
