Sony's PSP Minis program was just unveiled this week at GamesCom, but it's already being supported by one developer in a big way. Halfbrick Games has announced an initial slate of four games for Sony's lineup of small-scale downloadable titles, spearheaded by two of its titles from Xbox Live Indie Games (formerly Community Games).

From Microsoft's downloadable game service, Halfbrick will be bringing the physics-based Halfbrick Blast-Off and puzzle action game Halfbrick Echoes to PSP Minis. The developer has said it will make system-specific changes to the games for their PSP debuts, but it did not offer any insight as to what those would be.

Additionally, the PSP Minis program will host two more Halfbrick releases: the top-down multiplayer shooter Halfbrick Zombies and Halfbrick Rocket Racing, in which players fly vehicles around treacherous tracks by firing off left and right thrusters independently. Halfbrick Rocket Racing and Halfbrick Zombies will also be appearing on unspecified other platforms.

While Halfbrick has garnered some acclaim for its Xbox Live Indie Games, the developer also works in mainstream game development. It created the DS edition of last year's Avatar - The Last Airbender: Into the Inferno, as well as 2007's aerial combat game Heatseeker on the PSP.
