Halfbrick, the creator of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, announced that the next game it's working on is an anime and '80s-cartoon-inspired top-down action title called Colossatron: Massive World Threat.

If you're looking for a top-down Rampage, Halfbrick's got you covered.

Players control a giant robot snake called a Colossatron and are given the task to wreak havoc in Metro City and other various cities across the globe. They will need to build up the Colossatron by attaching red, blue, and yellow powernodes that give it different weapons and abilities. Combining colored powernodes will lead to new colored and powerful tiers of powernodes.

The game's presentation is part top-down action and part newscast; the game is covered "live" by in-game news anchors from the fictional Metro 6 Action News. A player's success in the game is measured by the dollars of damage caused by the Colossatron.

No release date or platform has been announced at this point.
