Gust blows out new Atelier title

NIS (Nippon Ichi Software) America today announced that Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana is now available in North America for the PlayStation 2. The game is the first stateside release for Japanese developer Gust, which was established in 1993 in Nagano.

The strategy role-playing game lets players assume the role of Klein Kiesling, a young alchemist who travels the realm of Regallzine to discover the secrets of his craft. Gamers will be able to create their own weapons and items, endowing them with unique powers and abilities.

The Atelier series debuted on the PlayStation in 1997 in Japan, and in May, Gust released Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana 2 in Japan.
