Gulbis joins Tiger in PGA Tour 2004

Natalie Gulbis is "in the game," but what about Annika Sorenstam?

Comments

EA Sports says LPGA Tour golfer Natalie Gulbis has joined the lineup of playable athletes in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004. Gulbis, an All-American from the University of Arizona, is entering her second year on the LPGA tour. Her inclusion marks the first time an LPGA golfer will be included in the series, according to EA, which has an exclusive partnership with the PGA.

Interestingly, the choice of Gulbis calls into question EA Sports' well-known slogan: "If it's in the game...it's in the game." This past year, Annika Sorenstam, not Gulbis, teed off with the men at the PGA Tour's Bank of America Colonial and became the first woman in 58 years to play in a PGA event.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is scheduled for release on the GameCube, PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox on September 22, with a Game Boy Advance version to follow in October.
