Japanese-language game news site Famitsu is reporting that two of Konami's popular arcade music games, Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania, will be bundled together for their transition to the Sony PlayStation 2. The set will sell under the title Guitar Freaks V2 & Drum Mania V2. The home versions will include music found in the V3 arcade games, though Famitsu did not specify which songs. They will have an original practice mode, complete with tutorials for newcomers. The bundle will be released in Japan on November 22 for 7,329 yen, (about $62). It will support the GuitarFreaks and DrumMania controllers, as well as the Yamaha Silent Session Drum DTXPLORER and DTXPRESS III controllers.
