ArenaNet today announced a new update for its massively multiplayer online role-playing game Guild Wars II called Tower of Nightmares.

The free content update will go live on October 29, two days before Halloween. It will be the third content update ArenaNet has released for Guild Wars II in October alone.

In Tower of Nightmares, players will find new trouble brewing in the ever-changing world of Tyria –a menace with dark ties to previous storylines. Working in secret, the sinister reptilian krait have created the Tower of Nightmares, a weapon unlike anything ever seen in Tyria. Players will join forces to discover the secret to attacking the Tower and uncover clues as to the identity of the krait’s mysterious new ally…

Tower of Nightmares introduces new rewards like the Antitoxin Spray and new healing skills that allow players to cleanse themselves and nearby friends of poisons. Gamers who are able to defeat the krait will be rewarded with a Krait Obelisk Shard.

An early look at the Tower of Nightmares content will be available through an ArenaNet livestream on October 28 at 12 noon PDT through Twitch.

ArenaNet also announced today that content for the Halloween-themed Blood and Madness update will be available through November 11.
