I got the game... It's the best game I ever played, but why is it only up to lvl20 ? That's a real bummer! Is it comming a expension pack to get more lvl ?
This is to what Nounou9292, let me get somthing in you head first of all GW isnt a poor mans game it a competive game, and not every agrees to haveing pay a stupid monthly fee to play a game they baught no matter how much money you got, I for one am one of them people that refuse to pay a monthly fee to a game I got at a store to me paying a monthly fee is probley the stupidest most retarded thing to do. On a personel note,,,GUILD WARS RULES WOOT WOOT cant wait for the Guild Wars : Factions to come out looking forward to it NCSOFT!!!!
raising the lvl20 cap is a silly idea unless its just for pve'ers bragging rights to say that hes reached level..40 or something, having more attribute points to spread into your lines would lead to big imbalances in the pvp game which lets face it is what keeps people playing after the 2 weeks they spend playing pve, grinders play wow and lineage2 not guildwars :)
Actually, they did say that someday they were going to lift the LVL 20 cap. They said it would possibly be part of a future expansion. Yet it doesnt look like its going to be part of this one. I use to love Guild Wars. I'd say after playing it for a month it just got boring. I can't even play it now unless I need something to make me tired. Everything is too simple. Your charecters can't be customized all that much, so every charecter basically looks identicle. The skill system was quite boring yet someone did make a good point that it was more about how you set up your skill bar during play and using them together that made it a tad-bit more interesting, which is kinda true. But, anyways, I dont want to sit here and sound like I'm bashing this game because it is a great game. I would just like to see the game get something that would make me go back to it. Later guys!
Looking forward to this...I liked guild-wars...I just wish they would add more options for character appearances; the physical selection is sooooo limited.
I've always felt GW would be better without any levelling. The 1-20 level progression always felt sort of tacked on -- you'd be level 20 well before you finished the single player campaign, and you were expected to be 20 for the PVP stuff. They even let you start a level 20 character right away, even though you were limited in your choice of skills until you unlocked them. The fun part about GW for me was configuring my action bar and then seeing how that combination of skills worked in practice. I always wished for the ability to have access to all of the skills, but still be limited to how many I could bring into a match.
WoW is for retards who cant handle tough mmo's. It's the most fluffed and babied mmo i've ever played. EverQuest 2 is the hardest and even GW is less babied than WoW is.
I stopped playing because once you beat it there really isnt anything to do, including gaining levels and stuff. Im not a fan of the PvP because its so hard sometimes. So I prolly wont get the expansion I guess.
Everyone knows that GW is the poor man's MMORPG, along with Runescape. And everyone knows that WoW rocks. End
To all those who whine about the lvl cap, they will NOT up it past 20. Anet has already stated this, and its due to balancing reasons. GW is NOT a game about power levelers or buffed up items, its about skill. It's a delicate balance. Nonetheless, w00t go GW, i can't wait for factions.
I bought GW and enjoyed it. How ever, I didnt play much after I finished one character of the story. Nothing really new there and I dont have the time to play organized PvP or have the interest to collect items. I think I will pass the add-on. Unless it brings something really really new and exciting.
Bleh...i play Guild wars and love it, and im sure ill buy the expansion, but what a lame name for one...
