GTA Online title update 1.05 out now

Rockstar releases new update promising to fix various save issues; GTA$ Stimulus Package expected in "next couple of days."

by

Rockstar Games today released title update 1.05 for Grand Theft Auto Online, paving the way for the first half of the GTA$ Stimulus Package to be delivered later in the week.

The newest GTA Online title update is available today on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It addresses various save issues, detailed in full below.

  • Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
  • Built in a number of measures to protect players' cash balances even if there are network problems
  • Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online

Players who continue to encounter technical problems are encouraged to visit Rockstar's support website to contact the developer's support team. Users can also subscribe to the GTA Online Launch Status article or message the company at the official Rockstar Support Twitter account.

Gameplay feedback should be directed at Rockstar via GTAOnline@Rockstargames.com, the developer said.

Regarding the long-awaited GTA$ Stimulus Package, Rockstar said it expects the first $250,000 to be delivered to players "in the next couple of days."

"The Stimulus will go out over the course of a full day once it's initiated so don't be alarmed if people on your friends list receive it before or later than you do," Rockstar said. "Enjoy and we certainly appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort out these remaining issues."

When Rockstar originally announced the $500,000 of in-game cash for players (to be delivered in two deposits of $250,000) earlier this month, the company said it would not dole out the money until the game was stable.

GTAV has shipped more than 29 million copies to date, though it is unclear how many players have logged into GTA Online. For more on GTA Online, check out GameSpot's video review below.

Still no option to turn off the annoying headache inducing, immersion reducing flash kill indicator that makes what should be brutal shootouts, look and feel like a shooting gallery arcade game. It seems GTA 5 was made for non GTA fans and newcomers only.

I am still playing this with a group of friends and still having a pretty good time.  The $500k was nice, but I pretty much blew it already....... lol

What an empty hollow feeling Gta5 left. At first I joyed that I thought I was playing something critical of modern society, but to realise it was all about money all the time. The online mode really shows their true face. Everything is about money money money. It's bad enough we gotta live in this disgusting capitalist times, but to see it mirrored in the game? I play games to flee from this disgusting money-status obsessed world.
Fuck you Rockstar.

You can fill your ammo easily and cheaply, i'm talking about an actual monetary goal to work towards, once you unlock and buy everything, which doesn't take long, your left with nothing to achieve

GTA5?  Vaguely remember playing that a few weeks ago.  Not that memorable of an experience.

And thus, a majority of these people prove what the new generation of gamers is all about. Its not about having fun and playing the game in moderations... Its about how awesome they are at exploiting glitches and replaying races. I am truely glad i play on private matches with my friends. We have played since launch and still having a blast.

what's so fufilling about leveling stupid fast, getting 2 million from doing 2 activities? It just proves how impatient you are... And have no appreciation for the little things. All the famous games around usually have launch issues, and they build a platform in the beginning, weather good or bad. I bet by christmas, they will have what we want... and all the cheating fags will be off playing their little CODs and BF4s and on their PS4s eifher kill swapping or glitching again. There in mind this is all my opinion... Take it as you will. But imo, the box does say M for mature... And i have yet to see much maturity...

Funny thing is, once they see all this new stuff plus the new stuff to come they will end up buying the game again and waste even more money.

has anyone else noticed some harsh slowdowns since this patch?

Hmm, I guess some people have not figured out yet that racing is the way to go, especially if finish in the top three position.

I hope this fix the random kicks. Even when I just started a session and even in the middle of missions and races. If this update doesn't fix it... don't expect any money soon.

I dunno i have always seen people replay Down the Drain over and over, a 2 lap supercar race win takes about 2.30 minutes and gives you 12k money and a sh!tload of RP. Quick level up and money if you ask me.

question... how the hell does anyone make money online? I'm rank 19, have barely spent any money because im saving it and still only have like 65,000... The missions only give you like 3000 a turn and races and things only seem to give around 5000. Yet I've seen people around rank 22-23 driving the best cars and have the nicest apartments... Any suggestions?

It's funny, I've never seen any texture popping or people flying around the map. The only major issue I saw was in the 1st two days, didn't have to bitch about it like everyone else on the internet, just left it a few days and everything was fine. Seriously though, how could you expect a game that sold so many copies so quick to run flawlessly at multiplayer launch.

The only flaws in the game is there is very little co-op missions (which is the reason why I wanted to play online) the free-world seems like a pointless lobby system (Maybe if they made some more world events more often like more gang wars, or something better that people could actually do without waiting inline to connect to a game).

Haven't played the game in a few weeks now, I'll rejoin when heist are in

@rad8045 I love GTA5 but you can't deny it had problems. Insinuating that everyone who has issues with this game is just a COD hater, discredits all the real issues with this game and closes out discussions that lead to the possibilities of innovation.

@shacerman5000 can I race with u guys? cuz if  I race "down  the drain" one more time i will shoot myself here's my ps network ID (if u are a ps-man that is) Henning-Fest

@shacerman5000 so those leveling up fast aren't having fun?

Are they ruining your fun?

You can only have fun playing in moderation?

@YesSheWill Do the Prison Circuit with one lap. Takes like 30 seconds and then rinse and repeat until you're a millionaire

shacerman5000

This is why i dont race. THIS is one reason people say this game is repetitive.

@jackzor123 bounties, selling cars, and survival is the best way to earn decent cash until you get to like level 35. Until then, the missions are just needed to rank up. After 35 the missions start to pay good money ($10k+)

ziproy

@jackzor123 There are glitches people can use too. You can "gift" someone your personal car after a mission and sell it to LS customs. Some guy's I got was worth over 100k

30154246
30154246

@jackzor123 dude its not hard the new patch still does not focus on this problem (i say problem but its a gift from god) get yourself a car i got a sultan RS its worth $105,300 found it, you cant buy it. and did it up. went over to customs shop and put it in for SALE. as soon as i accepted the sale within a few seconds from saying sold i automatically pressed START went over to online in the start menu and went down to swap player. then clicked on the player already using and it sends you into another lobby, IN YOUR CAR, AND WITH THE CASH. p.s and your outside or around the corner from LS Customs. THERE YOU HAVE IT. p.s dont got over 10M or you ll lose everything but people say what a 1M in an our, mate you can do it in the time it takes you to make a cuppa!

informalmrtom

@jackzor123 I like doing Survival... if you're up for a bit of a challenge instead of being lazy and doing Down the Drain... you can earn $20,000 and a little bit of RP for completing wave 10 it takes time but it's far more satisfying than any other money making scheme.

tainomke
tainomke

@jackzor123  @jackzor123 Play Sandy survival, or any survival for that matter. If you can get to wave 10 you'll net 20k. At wave 8 should net you about 14k. Any lower is 8k and below. I'm rank 64, never exploited, fully rank supped Sultan, 160k and just about all the attire available to me. I'm just slowly, by the day grinding (thats about 1 hour a day for me) grinding in free roam until the stimulus to purchase an apt. The fastest car doesn't necessarily mean the best, at the end of the day its handle. Until then, work with something that makes all the sense.

@Art Schupner

don´t fuzz about it, the online part is still a broken mess and people are still losing their toons.

Annnnnd its not satasfying to some of us doing what you do. Some of us like playing the game legit... Its people like you that have ruined the economy, and the game. You probably leveled through down the drain too.

I made most of my money early on by selling Gallivanter Ballers at Los Santos Customs. They sell for $9000 and are pretty easy to find.

@shacerman5000 you said you play in private matches...you play the game like you like. what does it matter to you how others play the game when it does not affect you.
