Rockstar Games today released title update 1.05 for Grand Theft Auto Online, paving the way for the first half of the GTA$ Stimulus Package to be delivered later in the week.
The newest GTA Online title update is available today on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It addresses various save issues, detailed in full below.
- Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
- Built in a number of measures to protect players' cash balances even if there are network problems
- Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online
Players who continue to encounter technical problems are encouraged to visit Rockstar's support website to contact the developer's support team. Users can also subscribe to the GTA Online Launch Status article or message the company at the official Rockstar Support Twitter account.
Gameplay feedback should be directed at Rockstar via GTAOnline@Rockstargames.com, the developer said.
Regarding the long-awaited GTA$ Stimulus Package, Rockstar said it expects the first $250,000 to be delivered to players "in the next couple of days."
"The Stimulus will go out over the course of a full day once it's initiated so don't be alarmed if people on your friends list receive it before or later than you do," Rockstar said. "Enjoy and we certainly appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort out these remaining issues."
When Rockstar originally announced the $500,000 of in-game cash for players (to be delivered in two deposits of $250,000) earlier this month, the company said it would not dole out the money until the game was stable.
GTAV has shipped more than 29 million copies to date, though it is unclear how many players have logged into GTA Online. For more on GTA Online, check out GameSpot's video review below.
