GTA Online content creator tool leaked in new videos

Series of videos show off the ways in which players can customize deathmatches for open-world game.

Grand Theft Auto Online's content creator is still not released, but a YouTube user has posted four videos showing off the tool's user interface and various menus. The video comes just days after another leak suggested a casino and new activities may be in the pipeline for either Grand Theft Auto V or GTA Online.

It should be noted that what appears in the videos here is not necessarily representative of the final version of the GTA Online content creator, as it could be based on early and/or unfinished code.

In fact, the YouTube leaker said this is indeed the case, noting the content creator tool's file size has changed since the GTA Online 1.06 update. The version appearing in the videos only allows users to create races and deathmatches, not missions.

One video shows an area of Los Santos from a top-down view, with the player able to determine where weapons are placed and the locations of player spawns. Users can also toggle the time of day, player caps, and traffic volume, according to menus shown in the video. In another video, Michael is shown walking around a parking lot while the user chooses where to place weapons and items.

It appears Rockstar has a GTA Online-related announcement to make in the near future, as the company wrote today on Twitter, "Look out for news on upcoming GTA Online updates soon." Rockstar released the free Beach Bum DLC for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at the end of last month.

Hey sorry if I already posted this comment. I tried earlier but I dont see it, so I'll say it again. I would really love to see them add more features to the content creator in the future after they release it such as those seen in Far Cry 3 (Such as placing Ai, both Hostile and allies, God mode, infinite ammo, etc.) Maybe not god mode for playing with others but for offline play as well. If they even added placing Cover such as and sandbags and walls, and Ai, I and alot of my friends would get countless hours of fun with it. I know this isn't a rockstar suggestion forum, but would like to hear from others their opinion and thoughts on my suggestion, thanks.

Couldn't give 2 hoots about the mission editor. My crew and I are just ranking up and getting stuff together to roll on the 1st heists when they eventually launch.

GTA V has such a good single player that its multiplayer doesn't matter GTA V is still one of the best games of all time just because of its single player the multiplayer is just a bonus hopefully the editor turns out to be really good  and hoepfully online heists come out soon but if not i dont care single player more then makes up for it

At first I thought I was going to get mad and jealous for selling my Xbox 360 for an Xbox One, but now I'm just giggling. As someone who picked up GTAV at midnight launch I'm becoming rather disappointed. I'll eventually pickup another 360 when they're cheaper along with another copy of GTAV.

Why does everyone want Heists in Multiplayer? There are so many jerks online you'd probably never get to complete one successfully because someone would f it up on purpose then leave.

Really wish GTA V had all building interiors hollowed out... I thought they would design the game with all buildings having an indoor area.

How about giving us an option to turn off the annoying immersion reducing Kill effect? Nothing kills this game more for me than seeing the entire game world annoyingly flash each and EVERY time I kill somebody with a gun. The X hitmarker is annoying enough and we can't turn that off, why do we need a flash too? Red Dead had an option to turn it off. In Gta 5 the flash is more obtrusive than in RDR, yet no option to turn it off!

3rd Month in. Still no Heist.

I guess Rockstar is trying to figure out how to price it properly when they release their first Single Player Addon that adds little features like Heist to Multiplayer.

Sorry Rockstar...took WAY to long with releasing the MP content and have officially written your game off as boring.

Try being an effective company next time

HEISTS!!!!!!!! WHAT DON'T U GET?

If it's just placing weapons and setting where the deathmatch or race is, that's super boring. I thought GTA V was supposed to be raising the bar, instead they're limiting the mission editor in such a way that it's outdone by games that are as old as Halo 3.

I kind of hoped for a PC version leak... Damn headlines and wishful reading.

see this annoys me. All this stuff was teased months ago with the games release and it's still not out. By the time this game is "done" I'll have moved on. I lost all interest in GTA by the end of September.

@mikemaj82 Maybe invite friends?  I'm pretty sure you can do missions with friends?

@00J Do you realize how hard that is to do?

In 3D modeling it's nigh on impossible or me to make a building that way and I don't now about Rockstar but I don't think they can be arsed with that.

@00J they mentioned that they compensate that by having detailed and well designed outdoors

@Dredcrumb9 I actually like the X hitmarker, lets me know the person is dead if they are far away.

@Dredcrumb9 Every article on GTA, you're going to post this? No matter how unrelated? You think Rockstar will see you in every thread and turn off this thing that only a handful of folks have even noticed out of pity?

@frylock1987 Didn't they say Heists are free? or at least the first ones?

@ziproy Sad but true; by the time most of the potentially interesting stuff arrives, a lot of people will have moved on.

@catsimboy It's an open world man, it's hard to do and they only have a small amount of ram to work with on these consoles.

@eli2333 A lot of people also think GTAV has good graphics.  Maybe that's true for last gen consoles.  In reality, it would look so much better if rendered by a GPU from this decade.

@jayd02  i agree with you i like the X hitmarker, as for the flash every time you kill someone i have never once noticed that so the the flash cant be that bad

@Carpetfluff @ziproy Already did.  The SP game was one of the highlights of 2013, but MP was entirely underwhelming...  Just a bunch of races & deathmatches at the end of the day.

@woodyfr @themc_7 Waiting until half your audience moves on to the next gen probably isn't the best way to go though, now is it? It needed to be a constant stream of stuff to keep people engaged.
