Grand Theft Auto Online's content creator is still not released, but a YouTube user has posted four videos showing off the tool's user interface and various menus. The video comes just days after another leak suggested a casino and new activities may be in the pipeline for either Grand Theft Auto V or GTA Online.
It should be noted that what appears in the videos here is not necessarily representative of the final version of the GTA Online content creator, as it could be based on early and/or unfinished code.
In fact, the YouTube leaker said this is indeed the case, noting the content creator tool's file size has changed since the GTA Online 1.06 update. The version appearing in the videos only allows users to create races and deathmatches, not missions.
One video shows an area of Los Santos from a top-down view, with the player able to determine where weapons are placed and the locations of player spawns. Users can also toggle the time of day, player caps, and traffic volume, according to menus shown in the video. In another video, Michael is shown walking around a parking lot while the user chooses where to place weapons and items.
It appears Rockstar has a GTA Online-related announcement to make in the near future, as the company wrote today on Twitter, "Look out for news on upcoming GTA Online updates soon." Rockstar released the free Beach Bum DLC for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at the end of last month.
