Odd, why is a $30 game dropped to $5 but a $20, $15, and $10 not dropped to $4, $3, and $2. Sounds like a rip off. On a $30 game you are only paying 16.6% of the original price but the $10 game you are paying 50% and if it is already down to $10 is it really worth $5?

This combined with the $.099 sale from two weeks ago basically has me set for the summer.  Three Crash Bandicoot games, three Spyro games, three complete episodic Telltale games, Plants vs. Zombies, and Urban Trials from the dollar sale, and Spec Ops, Darksiders, and Mortal Kombat from this one.

I literally have dozens of games in my backlog now that I got because they were on sale that I haven't gotten around to playing.  Summer break is going to be good this year.

If you are a human make sure to get Spec Ops: The Line.

If Rockstar announces the next Red Dead Redemption at this coming E3 my year will be made!  I'd have to say that RDR is up in my top 3 games of all time. Was such a rich experience. Loved every moment of it- except when I finished it. There was something very lonely about wandering the world as Marsden's son at the end. Made me sad.

This irritates me so much, my PS3 recently died(3rd one), and now when I can purchase a system in the near future I'll have to choose to do a PS3 with lots of old content, or go new with the PS4 for future content.

Plus I'm missing out on a lot of good deals it seems.

Everyone that doesn't, should get Red Dead Redemption. That's my favorite open world game to date.

Hey, like great stories? Get Spec Ops the Line, and play it to the end!

Nice grab. You may never have the game in your hands, but cheap price compensates. That is what makes Steam a success.

Very Nice, grab as many as you could.........gamers.............I remember that I had to pay $70 for a soccer Supernintendo game at the time of Supernintendo console era with poor graphic and sound compare to these super HD games only $5.00..

I'll pay R* 5 dollars to turn off the kill indicators(screen flash and x marker) and the cinematic score in GTAV. Crap, I'll pay 20 dollars just to have these options in the game.

GTAIV was fun to play; GTA V just sucks too much for me to even bother to play it again...

great deals, hope sony makes some good money from this sale!

Thought RDR is overrated, riding around an empty desert gets old quick. Guess I would not have made a good cowboy. Rockstar seems to have a special talent for tying together a bunch of mediocre elements into a large map and making it a popular game

Is this only in the US? No discounts are appearing in the UK store.

I bought a new copy RDR for 20$ at Costco over a year ago and Sony charges 30$ for a download? Their normal prices are a joke.

RDR for 5 bucks is an absolute steal. GTAIV not so much, still a good deal, but doesn't pretty much everyone who is a fan have GTAV by now? At least 25+ million people do. And seeing how RDR doesn't have a sequel yet makes it even better of a deal.

I got Red Dead for $5 . So fucking worth it

@deadpen  just stfu. Are you really bitching about a game sale? If you are unsatisfied with the discount, don't buy it.

@wgerardi  Would really like to, but for some reason it doesn't like my PC for some reason, crashes to blue screen or smth, I guess the fate of AMD cards.

@VMaven

Go for a PS3. Then I'd dish in for the PS4 at the end of this year when they'll be more games (and bundles). You can get some pretty amazing deals for the PS3 right now.

Jesus, that was your 3rd PS3 to die? You use them as door stoppers in their off time? Sucks. It's nice booting up a new console though.

Yes I have to say that was a good play.

Meh, it's not for everyone. I thought it was above average, but only just.

@clqtte Sad thing is when you realize that some random soccer game on SNES had better gameplay and less cinematic bullshit than some of these games.

@cboye18  I played GTAIV 2 years, non stop when it came out. With GTAV I was done with it in a week, the campaign was too short, and i hate how the whole screen flashes with a little x for every kill. GTA4 worked fine without x markers or screen flashes.

You thinking it's overrated is not the same as it being overrated. The game was great to me and millions of others.

spacecadet25

@freedomzealot I agree fully, Red Dead Redemption was highly overrated.  Many people love it, I don't.  I tried playing it when it was new, then quit.  Then tried 4 years later, and quit again.  Three reasons I couldn't stand it:

1. Time of day specific missions paired with crappy ways to pass time quickly.  To kill enough time I often had to ride back out into the desert and start campires twice, or at a safehouse sleep 2 times.  A lot of time wasted trying to waste time.

2.  Riding a horse was slow, not fun & clunky, and you did it a lot.  And you're not supposed to get attached to your trusty horse, since it can easily die or get replaced.  Just off-putting.

3.  Random 'oops' moments totally wrecking your good-guy standing or progress.  Greatly due to running people over with your hard to control horse.  Run over a cop on accident, now you're a bad guy and have to fiddle around with making the law no longer want you. That stuff happened a lot.

I spent half my time doing mundane stuff related to killing time, repairing my standing after accidents, or re-loading older saves, let alone some of the missions being quite boring too.

spacecadet25
spacecadet25

@matej_jones   Yep, poor people in the UK.  Uh, how much have you spent on healthcare in your lifetime?  I've wiped out my life savings a couple times, and that's just for care (that didn't even help me), that doesn't even include all the wealth of money I paid for worthless health insurance over the years.

Sure, that's irrelevant to gaming, but it's one thing people in the UK should be happy about instead.  Try thinking about that, you'll feel much better.

spacecadet25
spacecadet25

@terrariafan247 It did kinda suck, tried it twice and never wanted to play it more than 7 or 8 hours.  And no one is right or wrong for liking or not liking a game, it's all subjective.

qtmew
qtmew

@terrariafan247  No, you're not. I feel the same way.. blegh.

Well, don't want to upset the first guy who replied to you, he thinks people are "losing" when they do not like a game.

PrpleTrtleBuBum
PrpleTrtleBuBum

@terrariafan247 I was expecting a hardcore western and as such I was dissapointed. Like said it's like GTA with horses. Western with regenerative health, "teleporting" horses, dozens of weapons and hundreds of ammo in my inventory and countless other details really held the game back. But it's still a decent game.

Dannystaples14
Dannystaples14

@terrariafan247  I didn't play it because I'm not into Westerns. Everyone who plays it though says it was awesome. I've been very tempted for a long time.

ps4hasnogames
ps4hasnogames

@terrariafan247  Its just you.  one of the best games last gen, the secret buried treasure maps was hella fun to try to decipher, the missions were well thought out and the gunfights were awesome too.  your loss.

@themc_7 HA HA, Any game on this list that I wanted I bought at full price when it came out, cause I'm not a fat ass, broke, living with my mama p.o.s. I also still have the games since I'm not a sorry excuse for a gamer who trades in his games to afford new-to-them used games.

matej_jones
matej_jones

@spacecadet25 you're right, that's not relevant to gaming at all but since you brought it up then yes poor us for having free healthcare, cheaper university fees, over 40 times fewer gun crimes per head due to better control and a more free press. But as you say that has nothing to do with gaming.

The point is there's nothing stopping Sony from offering deals like this in all world markets and not just the US one.

matej_jones
matej_jones

Same. For around £3.50 lara croft would have been worth a punt too.
