GTA 5: Here's How to Earn Double XP and What's on Sale This Week

Rockstar Games has announced the newest weekly event for Grand Theft Auto V, letting GTA Online players earn double XP and save big on a variety of in-game items.

First up, you can earn double GTA$ and RP in all parachute jump activities and the Drop Zone mode. Additionally, Rockstar has launched a special playlist featuring both modes, so you can get started easily.

In terms of sales, Rockstar is offering 50 percent off everything at the Warstock Cache & Carry store. Some of the items available at the discount include an armed helicopter and the deadly rhino tank.

Another sale going on this week in GTA Online is for all Merryweather services. You can save 50 percent on things like ammo drops and boat and helicopter pickups, while the discount also applies to calling in mercenaries to fight alongside you in a pinch.

The armored version of the Kuruma car is also on sale this week, discounted by 25 percent at the Southern San Andreas Super Autos store.

If you're in need of new weaponry, Ammu-Nation is offering 25 percent off assault rifles, throwable items like sticky bombs and grenades, body armor, and ammo.

Finally, Rockstar confirmed that this week's premium stunt race is "Threading the Needle." This challenging motorcycle race is over 3 miles long and features some tight corners. Finish in the top three and you'll receive a nice GTA$ payout, while everyone who participates gets triple RP.
