GT3 goes gold in Japan
Polyphony Digital has wrapped up the development of the Japanese version of Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec.
Sony and Polyphony Digital held an event in Japan on Tuesday commemorating the completion of the Japanese version of Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. At the event, the PlayStation 2 i-link cable was used for six-player games of GT3 on six PS2s, according to Famitsu. Additionally, Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo series, spoke once again regarding his plans to introduce online elements to future incarnations of the Gran Tursimo series. He spoke of creating a network hub titled Gran Turismo Network (GTN) that would facilitate online racing in future Gran Turismo games.
Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec will be released in Japan on April 28. The North American release date is planned for June 15.
