The launch of Green Day: Rock Band is just under two months away, and gamers looking forward to it finally know which of the modern punk band's songs they'll be able to reenact. The game's full setlist of 47 songs, along with information on new venues, was revealed in an Entertainment Weekly report today.

Better luck next time, die-hard Shenanigans fans.
Better luck next time, die-hard Shenanigans fans.

The game will lean heavily on Green Day's two most recent albums--2004's American Idiot and last year's 21st Century Breakdown--as well as the band's 1994 breakout hit Dookie. In fact, the game will have all of the songs from those three albums, minus the hidden 15th song from Dookie, "All By Myself," and the six songs from 21st Century Breakdown already available as downloadable content for the Rock Band platform.

Filling out the game are three tracks each from 1995's Insomniac and 1997's Nimrod, with just a pair of songs from 2000's Warning. The band's early 1990's efforts from Lookout! Records, Kerplunk and 39/Smooth go unrepresented, as does the B-side compilation Shenanigans.

Green Day: Rock Band won't just introduce the band's songs to Harmonix and MTV Games' rhythm franchise; it will also include three venues specific to the band. A fictional amalgamation of house parties and hole-in-the-walls called "The Warehouse" will re-create the band's venues in the early years, while the outdoor National Bowl in Milton Keyes, England, will be packed full of people during the band's more popular years. The third and final new venue in the game is The Fox Theater in the band's backyard of Oakland, California, where it treated hometown fans to the entirety of 21st Century Breakdown just before the album's release.

Green Day: Rock Band will arrive June 8 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. In the United States, the standard editions will retail for $60 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 and for $50 on the Wii. A premium edition will also be available exclusively for PS3 and Xbox 360 owners in the US and Canada and will retail for $70 in the former territory. The premium edition will come bundled with the six already-available downloadable songs, special packaging, and a voucher allowing for free export of all the game's songs to Rock Band 1, 2, or 3. Exporting the songs from the standard edition of the game will cost $9.99.
