October has thus far been a relatively slow month for Nintendo's online storefronts. Last week, Nintendo tossed a single title each to WiiWare, the Virtual Console, and DSiWare, with console gamers afforded Word Searcher and Final Fantasy while handheld owners could pick up Thorium Wars. This week, a like number of games are available on the Nintendo shop, as Gravitronix joins Final Fight 2 on the Wii while the DSi picks up Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon.

Medaverse Studios lends the Wii its soul original game this week, as its multiplayer-centric action battler Gravitronix is available for 500 Wii points ($5). The game accommodates matches for up to eight, and players must defend a section of a spherical battleground from various projectiles.

A Capcom Super NES classic beat-'em-up, Final Fight 2 sees professional-wrestler-turned-Metro-City-mayor Mike Haggar again dishing out his special form of justice against the Mad Gear Gang. In the 800-Wii-point title ($8 ), Haggar teams up with Maki and Carlos to bring the brawl to Asia. Final Fight 2 accommodates play for up to two.

Lastly, Nintendo's DSi receives a dose of pinball this week for 500 DSi points ($5). Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon was developed by Fuse Games, perhaps best known for creating 2005's Metroid Prime Pinball for the DS and Mario Pinball Land for the Game Boy Advance. Nintendo was light on gameplay details, saying only that players would perform feats of pinball wizardry across two different modes to gain favor from 12 different Olympian gods.
