Take-Two Interactive has revealed that it will soon release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto III, its popular action game that was first released on the Sony PlayStation 2 in October. Although the publisher has not specified a date for the PC game's release, online retailers are estimating the game will ship in mid-April.

Grand Theft Auto III lets players assume the role of a criminal on the loose in a virtual 3D world called Liberty City. It features a nonlinear storyline and an innovative system that gives players complete freedom to do what they choose. The PlayStation 2 version of the game was recently awarded the number-one spot in GameSpot VG's Top 10 Games of 2001.
