PlayStation 3 driving sim Gran Turismo 6 will offer the option to purchase in-game credits for real money, Sony has said.

Credits will be sold in 500,000, 1 million, 2.5 million, and 7 million denominations, though Sony did not offer pricing details for each of these packs.

Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Sony added that Gran Turismo 6 players will be able to buy the credits directly from the PlayStation Store or directly from retailers.

Sony also released an image showing the prices of some of the game's cars in an infographic titled "how to spend a million credits in Gran Turismo 6." The BMW Z4 GT3 '11 will set players back 350,000 credits, whereas the Ford GT goes for 149,880 credits.

Gran Turismo 6 is also now available for preorder on the PlayStation Store in Europe, Sony added, in both standard and special editions. Customers who preorder either edition will also get the game's Precision Pack, which includes the following cars customised with a Gran Turismo 15th anniversary livery:

  • GT-R NISMO GT3 15th Anniversary Edition
  • R8 LMS Ultra 15th Anniversary Edition
  • Corvette Stingray (C7) 15th Anniversary Edition
  • Model S Signature Performance 15th Anniversary Edition
  • Viper GTS 15th Anniversary Edition

Gran Turismo 6 will be released on December 6.
