No Caption ProvidedGran Turismo 5's long and winding road to release came to an end today: the game finally hit PS3s in the US and Europe. That's not the end for Sony's marketing machine, however, as the company has announced that the game's official soundtrack will be available both digitally and physically on December 6 and December 13 respectively.

The soundtrack is in the classical vein, containing recordings of renowned pianist Lang Lang, who performed for the game. The Chinese artist, who appeared in the 2009 Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world, played compositions from a list of classical composers, including Chopin, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Joplin, Holst, and Beethoven. The pianist, who is also a brand ambassador for Sony, is featured in the game's opening cinematic with his recital of Prokofiev’s Precipitato.

GameSpot's Gran Turismo 5 review will be published shortly. In the meantime, check out our progress update over on the Reviews Blog.
