I wouldnt grab Thief if it was -36$...that reverse optimized game...like you are trying to load a fire truck on your pc.

Oew, Thief is £4.99 on PC and £19.99 on PS4 in the UK if you shop around.

To all the Steam sale braggarts - why come here? Other than the free games that come from PS+/XBL memberships, Steam sales are almost always cheaper than those offered by these networks. It's not news. Hell, the non-sale games tend to be cheaper on PC vs Console. Console gamers know this - coming on here and bragging about it doesn't help anyone.

The point is, whatever the game costs for the Xbox platform, it is now cheaper. Period.

As a personal recommendation, having played the new Thief (on PC), I would wait until it is cheaper.

Child of Light isnt $10 on my store, maybe it changes on the 4th?

Could have gotten it for less during last week's Steam sale.  Microsoft "over delivering value" again I see.

Thief is $29 on steam and $32 for the Master Thief edition that includes all DLC.

What's the free games on Xbox One for July.

Thief isn't even worth the steam prices in my opinion. Not a bad game per se, but completely boring. In many ways that's worse to me.

Thief was 15 dollars on the last steam sales.

Where's the free games?! Come on, for an American company show some 4th of July spirit!

They have got to be joking. Thief is terrible, and even if it wasn't you can get it for under 30 off of ebay with relatively little trouble, and that would be a physical copy.

Great a version of Thief that still costs too much and you can't trade it in when you realize how bad it is.

I saw the PC version in a shop a couple of weeks ago for just £10.
Sounds like a perfect opportunity to bag a bargain.

It's like regularly $29.99 on steam lately. During the summer sale it was like $14.99

@Pelezinho777 When I first got Thief, it ran like hell pre-mantle. But believe it or not, after enabling mantle my budget R7 260x runs it really really well. It made a big difference

@xantufrog "The point is, whatever the game costs for the Xbox platform, it is now cheaper. Period. "  And you're still being ripped off under the guise of a "sale".

@Thanatos2k well considering this is an article about the XBOXONE and you cant use Steam on the XBOXONE, talking about Steam isnt really relevant.

@faizanhd this is about XBOXONE you cant use Steam on XBOXONE your comment is irrelevant

@shinjuki

Most of the off-topic discussion seems to be around Steam and PC.

Dannystaples14

@steaminpotatoes Who cares what price it is if they are both reduced? You make a decision on whether it is too much either way. The fact it was cheaper on PC to start with puts me off because it is on PC.

@xantufrog I tried mantle also (7770 V2), but all I could get is black screen at the beginning so had to shut it down via task manager.

@seanwil545 @shinjuki You are correct, the t0lling here seems to be more about steam and PC. But he hates PS with a passion, and thus goes around (to PS articles, in fact - ironically and hypocritically) complaining about PS fanboys all the time.

R4gn4r0k
R4gn4r0k

@Dannystaples14 @R4gn4r0k Sure, but it's not like PC can't be included in this discussion.

What I'm trying to say is: it may look like a good deal ,but it's over twice the price as it was on PC a week ago... Just to put things in perspective.

@daikkenaurora12 @steaminpotatoes dont you have some PC articles to go comment on? Oh wait...there arent any.

I take that back maybe theres one about another shitty moba or one about how much money the developers of Star Citizen have bilked out of the people supporting their kickstarter.

oflow
oflow

@R4gn4r0k  Its not putting things in perspective because you are speaking from the perspective of using a platform thats not on the XBOXONE which this article was about.

This article had nothing to do with PC and since you  cant use Steam on the XBOXONE, it doesnt really matter what the prices were on the PC.

xantufrog
xantufrog

@oflow @R4gn4r0k what he is REALLY trying to do is insinuate the benefits of PC into the discussion. It's not helpful, it's bragging (and I do game on PC before someone calls me a console peasant)
