Goosebumps Point-and-Click Adventure Game Coming to Xbox 360

WayForward, the studio behind DuckTales: Remastered and Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, has developed a point-and-click adventure game based on Goosbumps, R.L. Stine's horror fiction book series.

Although the game has not been announced in a formal capacity, it has appeared on the Xbox Store, where it is listed as a prequel to the Goosebumps movie.

Goosebumps: The Game will be released on October 14, and a logo on the box art indicates GameMill Entertainment is publishing the title. A price is not attached to the product, and only the Xbox 360 is shown as the platform.

The game's Xbox Store page also features screenshots and an overview of the experience.

"The walk home from school today is going to be a lot spookier than usual," it reads. "Your sleepy neighborhood’s been overrun by monsters! Werewolves prowl the woods, Gnomes roam underfoot, and scarecrows walk at midnight.

"But these aren’t ordinary monsters—they’re R.L. Stine’s famous Goosebumps monsters, released from their books and looking to wreak havoc! You’ll need to use your wits to investigate the surroundings, puzzle out clues, and outsmart the monsters before it’s too late!

It continues: "Survive a trek through your neighborhood, unravel the mysteries of the Dead House, and sneak through the mall after hours; only then can you confront Slappy and stop his plans for revenge! Players beware… you’re in for a scare in the exciting Goosebumps video game."

The Goosebumps movie releases on October 16 and stars Jack Black as series author R.L. Stine. The film's plot revolves around a young boy teaming up with Stine's niece after his imaginary demons are set free on the town of Greendale, Maryland.
