Goat Simulator Hits Mobile, Dev Jokes That You Should Spend $5 On Something Else

Coffee Stain Studios today released a mobile version of Goat Simulator, what it calls the "world's dumbest game." You can buy it today from the App Store and Google Play for $5.

"MOVE AWAY CLONES, THE REAL DEAL IS HERE," Coffee Stain Studios wrote (yes, in all caps) in a press release today. "And you guys thought we'd never get it to run on mobile!!"

The developer goes on to say that Goat Simulator is a "completely stupid game" and advises that, "You should probably spend your money on something else." Recommendations include a hula hoop or a pile of bricks. Alternatively, Coffee Stain Studios says you could pool your money together with friends to buy a real goat.

What's Goat Simulator all about? Coffee Stain Studios sums it up thusly:

"Goat Simulator is a drug that is created by the 0's and 1's inside computers, and then radiated from a computer screen right into YOUR EYES, forcing your brain to have fun. Coffee Stain Studios have now ported this technology to iOS and Android, giving you the ability to inject your brain with fun wherever you go."

In terms of actual gameplay, Goat Simulator doesn't have much of a real objective beyond causing as much mayhem and destruction as possible while playing as a goat. The game has been likened to classic skateboarding franchise Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, but "instead of being a skater you're a goat. And instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff."
