Ghostrunner 2 Release Date Set For October, More At Gamescom

The parkour cyberpunk platformer releases October 26.

Comments

Wall-sliding right into a crowded month, Ghostrunner 2 is dropping on October 26. Preorders are available now.

This sequel is set one year after the events of the first game and follows the rise of a mysterious bio-mechanical threat called The Order, which protagonist Jack battles. The sequel adds motorcycling, contextually destructible environments, and a revamped parry system to the katana-slicing, parkour-jumping, and wall-grappling formula of the original. You will also wander in the desert landscape outside the cyberpunk city of Dharma Tower. You can get a sneak peak at what this might look like, as well as some potential narrative teases in the new story trailer.

As you might expect, there are various preorder options. The cheapest is the Base edition, which costs $40. Preorders will include two sword skins and two hand skins. The Deluxe edition retails at $50 and includes all the Base edition goodies plus four hand skins, four swords skins, and a personalized hologram displaying your username. The Brutal edition runs (no pun intended) at $70. All the previous bonuses are included and you can start the game 48 hours early on October 24. It also includes the $20 Season Pass, an animated skin, and a motorcycle skin.

Ghostrunner 2 is dropping in the middle of a crowded release month, including Assassin's Creed Mirage, Forza Motorsport, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
