One of the most anticipated characters to be introduced into the Marvel universe is Ghost Rider, who makes his debut in the new season of Agents of SHIELD next week. The supernatural antihero will plays a major role in season 4, and a new trailer gives a taste of what to expect. Check it out below:

This teaser follows an image released earlier this week that revealed Ghost Rider's iconic flaming skull.

This version of Ghost Rider is Robbie Reyes, played by Gabriel Luna. Reyes has been his alter ego since 2014, as opposed to Johnny Blaze, the "classic" Ghost Rider that Nicolas Cage portrayed in two earlier movies.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Luna spoke about taking on the part. "When [the producers] finally cracked the lid on what I'd be playing, I was shocked," he said. "They were very secretive as to what it was. When I finally found out what it was, I did my research and I looked into it, and that's when I discovered that there was this new incarnation of Ghost Rider.

"What I'm really excited about is that the Robbie I had in my mind, he's there. It's not just his name or his body. His personality is all there. And it's still the Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider is a completely separate thing from Robbie. It's something that always inhabits his body and something that he always has to fight. It's an evil thing."

Agents of SHIELD season 4 premieres on ABC on September 20, 2016.
