Gears of War Triple Pack spinning Feb. 15
Epic's stop-and-pop shooter series, including original, sequel, All Fronts Collection, arriving on Xbox 360 next month for $30.
Epic Games has already offered gamers one make-good for delaying Gears of War 3 beyond its previously announced April 5 release, offering a guaranteed multiplayer beta test slot to those who pick up the Epic Edition of its other shooter, Bulletstorm. Now, gamers also have an easy way to bring themselves up to speed on the series prior to the third installment's release with the Gears of War Triple Pack.
Announced today, the Triple Pack will be available to Xbox 360 gamers beginning February 15 for $30. Within the package, gamers will find Epic's highly acclaimed original stop-and-pop third-person shooter, released in 2006, as well as its 2008 sequel, Gears of War 2.
The trio is rounded out with the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection add-on. Released in July 2009, the add-on includes the bonus campaign Road to Ruin, as well as 19 additional multiplayer maps. All said, the package includes 38 multiplayer maps. (Epic notes that five multiplayer maps from the original game as well as the Hidden Fronts pack are not included on the disc but can be acquired through Xbox Live free of charge.)
