Gears of War Remastered Coming to PC, Playable at 4K Resolution

The remake of the original Gears of War is coming to computers.

The Coalition, developer of Gears of War 4, announced that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be coming to the PC.

The Ultimate Edition is a remaster of the original Gears of War with a host of new improvements, including a multiplayer overhaul based on Gears of War 3 multiplayer. It was previously announced for the Xbox One.

The game will be coming to Xbox One and Windows 10. If you have a beefy enough gaming PC, you'll be able to play it at 4K resolution. Microsoft also announced that the new Xbox One Elite controller will be compatible with the game. It will launch on August 25 for Xbox One, but Microsoft has yet to announce when the PC version will be released.
